Wolver Colts lose in Final of National Colts Cup.

National U18's Colts Final at Bedford Blues Ground 4th May 2015.

Tonbridge Juddians 43-17 Wolverhampton

Wolves colts were finally undone by a high class Tonbridge side when Wolves power game was outflanked by the swift movement of Juddians. Wolverhampton, who were successful in winning the National U17's title in 2014, were looking to become the first side to retain the national title by winning the U18's trophy in 2015.

The game started well for the boys in black who kicked off and promptly regained possession to force Juddians back with Rob Chapman touching the ball over the try line to score within a minute of the start. However Juddians responded quickly to score themselves twice in the first half with quick movement and skillful off loading in the tackles before Evan Jones scored for Wolves to bring the score back to 14-10, two missed conversions for Wolves giving Juddians the half time advantage.

The second half gave Tonbridge the wind advantage and their speed and running lines allowed them to dominate the half and stretch away to an unassailable lead of 43-10 with four tries and a penalty before Wolves could respond with a second Rob Chapman try shortly before the end.

This Wolves colt aide is the most successful junior side in the history of the club and is testament to all the hard work put in by the coaches over many years. Neil Jones, Matt Jones and Dave Parker should feel very proud of the team they have helped to create.
