U13 Nominations for the Leicester Tigers Developing Players Programme


Leicester Tigers would like to invite schools and clubs to nominate boys in the U13 / Year 8 age group to be selected for our Regional Developing Player Programme (DPP).


The DPP is managed in partnership with the RFU and Staffordshire, NLD, Eastern Counties (Norfolk) and Leicestershire Constituent Bodies. The DPP provides high quality player development opportunities for players aged 12 to 16. The primary aim is to enhance the development of promising players across the region whilst clearly identifying players that are suitable for Leicester Tigers Academy.

We would like club and school coaches to carefully select up to 5 players for nomination. Players should show above average standards in their core skills of catch & pass, tackle and contact and / or have excellent game understanding and tactical awareness.

We also encourage you to nominate any players that have outstanding physical qualities or potential (speed, size, height, strength).

We expect a high level of commitment to the programme and want players who will thrive in a physically and mentally challenging environment.

The nominations will be administered centrally and players will be invited to attend an assessment session at their local each centre in January.
